We set up a both to share stuff with the community at the Echo Park Community Festival.
From our slide archive, be brought out Trang Tran's 2007 May Day postcard project which was a real hit, along with Sandra De La Loza's Class C sticker project. Kids were clamoring for copies of those.
Plus, we tried to hawk some of our books.
We facilitated a postcard making project.
We got kids and adults to make cards using some art supplies-
a brayer and some foam.
When done, we all wote on the back of the cards. We suggested writing a letters to the mayor complaining about his lack of leadership during this current budget crisis- specifically here around school funding in the LAUSD.
Come on Mayor, use that bully pulpit!
